Going digital

Perhaps the most significant feature that iRig Mic HD has that the original iRig Mic didn’t, is a digital signal path into your device. When you speak or sing or record any audio into iRig Mic HD, the sound first goes through a high-definition, audiophile grade preamp, and then is converted to digital with a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter.

From that point on, your audio never leaves the digital realm as it’s sent to your mobile device or computer. As a result, you always get a super-accurate recording, with no added noise, and no sonic degradation. You can even use iRig Mic HD for 48 kHz high-resolution recording projects.

It’s all on the cable

One of the secrets to iRig Mic HD’s wide compatibility is its selection of detachable cables. The mic itself comes with a Lightning Connector cable and a USB cable, which covers you for Apple recent generations of iPhone, iPad and iPod touche, and a USB cable for connecting to your Mac.
